Story:
I don't know of anyone who tries to will things into existence more than me. Seriously, my life is a daily spectacle of me doing whatever it takes to control my future in a way that's so meticulous it's nearly impossible to get off track. I think that comes from such spectacular failures in my past that scared me to the point of being completely risk adverse - I have to be 5 moves ahead at all times.
And then, out of nowhere, something happens that I never could have even remotely expected.
My younger self would have let that issue stress me to the max, probably getting upset while proclaiming everything is ruined, this is the end of days, etc.
The current version of me is a bit different. C'est la vie.
Things are always going to come up that we don't expect. Even the strongest people in the world run into hurdles that impair the plans they once had. But that's the real key - they're just hurdles. We accept what they are and figure out how to get past them. Sometimes we jump, sometimes we go around and sometimes we just absorb the blow. We might fall afterwards, and that's okay - the important thing is that you accept it as a part of life and move on rather than dwelling on it. Time is only wasted when we think about the things we can't change rather than focusing on the ones we can. I hope these two little doggos on this beautiful little hug for your wrist remind you of that.
Big Hugs!
